Meet Holli Appelquist
Holli discovered her passion for decorating and
design when she and husband Barry built a new home while living
in Medicine Hat in 2001. Her fresh, unique ideas astounded friends,
family, and even the home builder. With her home complete and a
newly discovered passion for design, Holli began working as the
lead designer for a home builder in Medicine Hat, decorating privately
with clients and writing a weekly decorating column in the local
Medicine Hat newspaper.
When Holli and her family moved “back home”
to Regina in 2002, Holliberries Interiors was re-launched in Regina.
Since then, Holli has consulted with hundreds of home owners on
everything from the colour of their walls to major renovation plans
- and new home building projects! Holli shares her love of decorating
by working privately with clients, teaching renovation planning
and decorating classes (in partnership with Benjamin Moore) as well
as through SIAST. Holli also contributes writing for “Home
Renovations” magazine, a local design publication.
Holli's primary goal is to demystify the art of
interior decorating and make it more accessible to everyone. Holli's
creativity and unique ideas put the reach of a decorator in virtually
anyone's budget. She approaches each client with the same philosophy:
“Decorating is intensely personal.” says Holli. “In
order to design a space that truly works for my clients, I first
get to know them, their family, their habits, design tastes, and
preferences. And with that intimate insight, I help them achieve
the look, feel and functionality they want.”
